"The Lemonade Stand II" Canvas Print (GiclΓ©e) | Oil & Acrylic on Canvas | Original 30x40"

β€œThe Lemonade Stand II” represents the good, bad, and ugly in a surrealistic style.

The hands represent those that have been picked and pricked by cotton fields. They hold the scraps that were served as food to slaves such as fried chicken (to hide the smell of spoiled meat), and the remains of pigs.

Cubist style of African-American hands holding inventions like stoplight and heart pump on US flag.

"The Lemonade Stand III" Canvas Print (GiclΓ©e) | Oil & Acrylic on Canvas | Original 30x40"

"The Lemonade Stand III” is about the beauty that came out of the African Diaspora.

When I was in middle school, my parents gave me a poster that listed all the accomplished inventions instituted by Black scientists. I always stared at this list whenever in question or in doubt.
